GOST was our first project with our own engine.
”Assist the overworked scientist as he is haunted by his own experiments, is it real or all in his head? Call for help!”
Our group size was: 18
My responsibilities were: Player movement and Camera.
It was a small game intended to help us setup our engine.
I created the movement and a lot of other small things such as triggers and smooth transitions.
Movement/Camera and interaction
We made an engine from scratch with the use of DirectX11 which we had one month to do, this put a lot of stress and made the code sub optimal which we later on had to replace and make better. This was because to get the game up and running in such a short time we needed something.
For the longest time all we had to play around with was this. Gameplay took a hit since a lot of engine stuff was needed to get things up and running. This made the gameplay quite rough to produce.
